About Us

The Idea Behind
Indigene Project

The Indigene Project was founded in response to growing discussions among African blockchain developers on how the expanding digital economy can positively impact African communities. Mr. Festus Omagbemi, alongside Omari Siyabonga and other diaspora-based developers, combined their expertise to drive sustainable development in Africa through digital grants and blockchain innovation

Mode Of Disbursement

Disbursement, Indigene Token And Indigene Card.

Indigene Grants is a blockchain-powered digital grant platform created to facilitate secure, transparent, and efficient fund disbursement to beneficiaries across Africa. The platform will introduce the Indigene Wallet alongside its native digital token to support seamless financial transactions within the ecosystem. Beneficiaries will receive Indigene tokens, which can be converted and withdrawn to local bank accounts through the Indigene Wallet or utilized for everyday purchases and payments using the Indigene Card.

Indigene Merchant &
Indigene Market

The Indigene Project is more than a one-time grant initiative. Our vision is to create a long-term economic system that continues to benefit African people for years to come. To achieve this goal, we introduced the Indigene Token — a digital payment solution designed to support trade, business growth, and financial inclusion across Africa. We are currently registering merchants across the continent who are willing to accept Indigene Token as a means of payment for goods and services. This growing network will help create a strong and sustainable ecosystem where individuals and businesses can transact easily using the token. In addition, we are developing a centralized shopping platform known as Indigene Market, where beneficiaries and users can purchase products and services directly using Indigene Token. Since the grants will be distributed in Indigene Token, beneficiaries will have the flexibility to either: Convert their tokens into their local bank currency, or Use the tokens directly within the Indigene Market ecosystem for payments and transactions. The Indigene Project is focused on building lasting economic opportunities, empowering merchants, supporting communities, and creating a connected African marketplace driven by innovation and inclusion.
